The holiday break before the Summer Session on August 1 provided an opportunity for both MUIC staff and students to engage in special training programs.

On July 13-15, 48 senior members of the supporting staff traveled to the Pasak Hillside Resort in Lop Buri in order to participate in a special Care and Share training session. The weekend was devoted to promoting more effective communication and team-building skills.

The following week the Educational Technology Department (Audio Visual and Computer) conducted its own separate training seminar on July 18-19 in Nakorn Nayok. Ms. Sumalee Visetratana, Deputy Director for Administration, and Ajarn Pornchai Olarikded of the Computer Science Program led staff members in exploring the issue of personal and professional development.

The newly-elected team of the MUIC Student Association for the upcoming academic year joined the present leadership on July 20-21 at Baan Phu Waan, the Pastoral Training Center for Bangkok’s Catholic Archdiocese, for a special training program.
The two-day session included a review of the past year’s activities, an evaluation of the trip to Malaysia and the development of strategies for the coming year, with a stronger focus on community outreach activities.
