Building for the Future
Picture: Faculty and staff laying flowers into the main pillar of the new building.Construction on the new extension continues to progress and, by all accounts, is proceeding on schedule.
On Thursday, May 11, members of the MUIC community participated in a ceremony to mark the setting of the building’s central pillar. Buddhist monks chanted their prayers and flowers were laid at the site, a traditional practice that is meant to ensure the safety and protection of the new extension.
The next step in the construction has begun, namely, working on the building’s elevated first storey.
