Picture: The MUIC badminton team with Ajarn Michael Naglis.The MUIC student Association hosted the 2nd Thailand International Badminton Championship on June 23-24 in the university gymnasium. MUIC Director Chariya Brockelman presided over the open ceremonies, after which the competition began among MUIC, Webster University Thailand, St. Theresa International College, Shinawatra University, Naresuan University International College and Siam University.
Medals were awarded for individual and team achievements. The MUIC team won the championship.
In mid-June, over a two-week period, the Sports Club organized the first King of the Elephant Gym Basketball Competition. MUIC, two teams from the MU Faculties of Information and Communication Technology and Sports Science, along with a team from the Salaya community, participated in the round-robin tournament. The Sports Science team were the final victors.
