Expanding the Physical Landscape
Picture: The New Building.
Much of the construction on the new eight-storey extension has been completed. On September 17, Director Chariya Brockelman led members of the MUIC community in a ceremony marking the opening of the second floor Atrium Cafeteria and the new classroom facilities on the third, fourth and fifth floors.
Work on additional facilities for the Salaya Pavilion Hotel and Training Center, which are located on the sixth, seventh and eighth floors, is expected to be completed in late October, with a soft opening to which the public will be invited.
The college is also utilizing facilities at the Salaya Center (where the Siam Commercial Bank presently operates). The third floor has been completely renovated, providing eight major classrooms and a teacher’s lounge for the English Studies Program. All English classes are now conducted at this venue.
